Nuclear Medicine
The primary purpose of the Nuclear Medicine Services at Savoy Medical Center is to provide the best possible service to the patient through the attending physician. As we strive to provide this level of care, we must keep the patients' welfare and safety foremost, remembering we must make a special effort to protect our patients from injury, whether through mechanical or radiological means. We do our best to protect our patients from infection, emotional stress, apprehension and other problems that might be encountered in our department, and to make the patient's visit to Nuclear Medicine as pleasant and rapid as possible.
The Nuclear Medicine Department offers services from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 24 hour "on call" coverage thereafter.
The location of the department is on 1st floor on the Northwest wing, within Radiology, adjacent to the Lab and Pharmacy.
The goal of the department is to promote better patient care, by assisting the physician in the diagnosis of disease through accurate and prompt radionuclide, scanning and therapeutic procedures.
The Nuclear Medicine Department services the following patient population, including but not limited to:
- Patients of all acuity
- Patients from any geographical location rural areas / urban areas
- Patients of all socioeconomic status
- Patients of all ages
- Patients with any clinical condition or diagnosis.
